According to a recent rumor, a PS5-only remake of Metal Gear Solid is in the works. There have been rumors of a complete remake of Metal Gear Solid for the past few years, but there hasn't been any official announcement. Remakes of vintage PS1 and PS2 games have been more popular recently, however PS3 and PS4 games are frequently remastered for new consoles.
